2019-09-29 GACC

Recently in Qingdao Customs District, an export consignment of auto-parts including fuel tanks and filters printed with rough trademarks was intercepted by Huangdao Customs House on suspicion of IPR infringement. And through identification by relevant IPR owner China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Company Limited, there were 1,749 pieces of auto-parts (in 6 categories) infringing on the SINOTRUK trademark of the Company registered with the GACC. As per GACC deployment, Huangdao Customs House has since July 1 been carrying out the Soaring Dragon 2019 campaign for IPR protection. This case, involving 11 tons of auto parts worth over 90,000 yuan, marked the largest IPR infringement seized in Huangdao since then. The quality of auto-parts is an important factor of automotive performance. Counterfeit and shoddy parts pose huge hidden dangers to safe driving and serious damage to the reputation of Chinese proprietary brands. Now, this case is under further investigation.
